Magic Ball Hunt, the follow-up to Lee Wadlinger's
1996 cassette LP, Wondering Boy Poet, showcases
a young Lee's penchant for Guided By Voices, Sonic
Youth, and Ohio lo-fi rock.

The EP's seven songs are decidedly lo-fi, with the final
track even featuring static-noise as a third instrument
(hey--maybe that's why it's called...). The
instrumentation throughout is sparse, never going
beyond layered guitars and vocals.

Coupled with the songs featured on 1997's split 7"
single with Pesotum, this EP effectively embodies
Wadlinger's mid-90's lofi-indie-folk aesthetic.
